RidgeRun SDK for installation trouble

  • I saw in the Leopard Board 365 FAQ about the RR SDK installation error (copied below). I have exactly this problem. Except I'm connected to the internet all the time. Installation finished quickly and said everything is fine, but I can't find the installation directory specified during installation, not to mention using "make".   What could possibly be wrong here?

***copied from http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Leopard_Board_DM365_FAQ#RidgeRunSDK_Installation_problems***RRSDK installation finishes very quickly and says that everything is ok, but there is no MAKE command available after install, inside the installation directory:
While installing RidgeRunSDK, you must be connected to the internet at all times and during the installation, you must see a list of things it installs. (It takes from 10 min to 1 hour depending on the speed of your internet connection.)

  • Hi XYJANEZ,

Why don't you run the installer in console mode to inspect the error.

    ./LeopardBoardDM365sdk-EVAL2011Q2-Linux-x86-Install.bin --mode console

This way you see how everything is being downloaded and installed.

By the way, What is your internet connection speed?

    Morteza

  • Thanks, Morteza! I emailed RidgeRun and they gave me a new link for downloading the SDK. Turned out their download server had some issues.  After downloading the correct software, now it's resolved!
