I have been tying to install the bootloader, kernel and file system built by the RR SDK into the Leopard Board by following instructions on
http://designsomething.org/leopardboard/f/22/t/103.aspx
but when i try the make installbootloader i always get fail when trying to do the handshake with u-bootno matter i try serial, usb or tftp download modes.
Trying other way, i have benn following the "Bringing up a bricked leopard board" and when trying
mono /home/linux/DM35x_FlashAndBootUtils_1_00/DM35x/GNU/sfh_DM35x.exe -nanderase -p /dev/ttyS0
the following message
Waiting for the DM35x... BOOTME commmand received.
Returning ACK and header... ACK command sent.
Waiting for BEGIN command... Target: BOOTME
keeps repeating on and on. I have Ubuntu 9.10 installed
Any help would be welcomed!
Thanks
Solved!
SD card worked. Double-checking, we had a wrong pin-out in the serial cable. Testing it now works fine
Hi,
Did you close the terminal program (E.g. minicom) when you are using the Flash and Boot utils?

Hi and thanks for the fast reply
Yes I did.
if you restart the leopard, what does it says?(make an access with putty or minicom).
Lorenzo
Hi Lorenzo,
Restarting and using minicom i get BOOTME
After that and trying mono it still gets stacked in
It is like if the leopard doesnt receive the ack and changes to BEGIN
Thanks again for you hlep
Try to erase the NAND and FLASH uboot and ubl.
You can search inside this forum how to do this.
Maybe I did not explain myself , this happens when i try to erase the NAND and FLASH uboot and ubl. via serial.
Right now i am trying to use a SD card, hope it works
Javier
i didn't understand your problem. One possible solution is: when it breaks, switch-off and switch-on the leopard and then it erases the memory.
Try it.
