I am booting my Leopard 365 from an SD card (fs also on SD). I want to open a socket to a web server but when I connect the ethernet cable the UART stops working?
I have no control over the board because the terminal does not work.
Why does this happen?

My guess would be not enough power. You mention the UART no longer works, but how about communication over Ethernet? I am wondering if your entire board dies.
