How to add some capture forms in DM365 (using Winntech's MediaFly)

I'm really newbie about Leopard.

I have a DM365 LeopardBoard connected to a MediaFly (©Winntech) board in some display modules. Currently we are only displaying some videos with basic interaction.

Our Mkt dept wants to add more functionality to this modules and i need to know if is possible to add it.

The new functionality requested is try to get some information about the people that are using this modules using some forms.

I just download the RidgeRun SDK to get involved in how to program the board.

Somebody know if is possible to add this functionality without affect the MediaFly.

Streaming video via RTP

Hi,

I want to do live video streaming and encoding. I am using Leopardboard DM365. I can capture and encode live video into H264 and then stream using gstreamer plugins but how do I capture the rtp packets on windows? I can capture on vlc using sdp file, but I do not want to just view using VLC. I need to capture the buffer and then pass it ahead to my application. How can I do this? What should I use? Can someone provide any examples?

I am using the following gstreamer plugin on server side:

Interfacing TFP410 with TMS320DM368

Hi,

I am planning to interface TFP410 with TMS320DM368 digital video output port. I have the following queries related to TMS320DM368.

TMS320DM368

1. TMS320DM368 data sheet recommends on (page-21):
    “To reduce EMI and reflections, depending on the trace length, approximately 22 Ω to 50 Ω damping resistors are recommend on
   the following outputs placed near the device: YOUT(0-7),COUT(0-7), HSYNC, VSYNC, LCD_OE, FIELD, and VCLK.”
     Is the above damping resistors included PCB trace impedance? i.e. if PCB trace impedance is 2 Ω then damping resistors may
     be 20 Ω to 48 Ω ?

2. What about the other Digital Video RGB signals (GIO33, GIO32, GIO30, GIO29, GIO80, GIO28 and GIO27), do these signals are also require damping resistors?

I am using DM365 Leopardboard.

I have PCB layout & manufacturing related queries:

In the datasheet of TMS320DM365 only DDR2 impedance's are provided.

We need Impedance details of following pins also:

Cin & Yin (video in), HD,VD, PCLK,C_WE_FIELD,

Tx/Rx serial port,

DATA0/1/2/3 (SD card Lines),

NAND Flash pins,

Cout/Yout pins, VSYNC, HSYNC pins(Video out), etc.

The stack up they followed is different than TI's datasheet. So please suggest which is to be followed.

GStreamer Plugins

I am trying to use the gstreamer pngenc plugin. I've included the "bad" collection of gstreamer plugins during SDK config, but gst-inspect still does not list the encoder. I'm using the 2011Q2 SDK, and I can't seem to see any of the "bad" plugins. I've included the proprietary DMAI drivers, which work successfully.

Hello all

I got LeopardBoard DM368 running with TI DVSDK 4_02_00_6.

Booting and running from SD card and NO NFS needed.

Most of work is porting from RR-SDK. Thanks RR :)

The DSP encode / decode also works.

Now the LeopardBoard DM368 + LI-BCM5M03 (mt9p031) can do H.264 HD encode.

Stop deinterlacing

Hi,

I would like to know how to stop deinterlacing of a video. I am doing RTSP streaming using gstreamer plugin. The input video is composite NTSC and using decoder board TVP5146.

Any idea as to how to go about? The output of streaming on the client side should be interlaced video.

cannot view video stream in vlc

I am able to stream a video to a remote desktop using the following pipeline :

gst-launch-0.10 filesrc location=$AV ! queue ! qtdemux name=dem dem. ! queue
! rtph264pay ! udpsink host=172.20.142.69 port=8000

but when i tried to play it on vlc i got an error :SDP required following which i have created a .sdp file as follows:

v=0

Somehow the video still fails to play.

I have dm368 with ridgerun sdk,dvsdk_dm368-evm_4_02_00_06_setuplinux and codesourcery toolchain installed and flashed it onto sd card.I have LI 5M03 camera set up and running to capture and display to a composite output with reference to the links:

Hi folks,

I am trying to configure the DM368 LeopardBoard for component output. I have installed, built, and flashed my board with the RidgeRun SDK and I am able to get to the command line and run gstreamer. It seems like everything is running correctly when I call the test pipeline but I am not getting a video signal from the component output. I have verified that there is no signal with an oscope. If anyone has any ideas on what may be the issue here, any help would be greatly appreciated!

Getting the error when Modifying the cmdline file

Inverting UART1 lines on LeopardBoard368

Hello,

I am trying to communicate with an infrared camera over UART1. I am using the RidgerunSDK and I already managed to set it up correctly (muxing the pins and so on). The output looks perfectly fine on an oscilliscope. The only problem is, that my IR-Cam requires inverted logic levels. So zero has to be high, and one has to be low. Also the start- and stop bits and the idle-state have to be inverted. Of course I could simply add a hardware inverter. But as far as I can remember from my own experience with other microcontrollers, there could be a chance to invert the UART by configuration (maybe i would have to change something inside the kernel-sourcecode). This would be a more elegant solution. Any ideas about that? Thanks in advance.

Using MMC1 (or SD1) with the RidgeRun SDK

I would like to use the second MMC/SD card connector that is present on the Leopard Board, also called MMCSD1. MMC0 is working well but MMC1 isn't. I guess it is simply not activated because when booting, I can see the message "Clocks: disable unused mmcsd1".

How do I proceed to activate it? The clock, etc.

Different video size for streaming and recording

I am using a plugin along with a "tee" element to stream live capture as well as record the video. I would like to know how should I specify two different video frame sizes for the two tasks (i.e. streaming and recording).

My pipeline is as follows:

So basically one thread is for streaming and other for recording on a file. The default composite input video is 640*480. What if I want to record the same size and stream at 320*240. Is it possible? I am running this on Leopardboard DM365.

TFTP configuration, please help

I recently got a Leo368 with RR 2011Q2 SDK, I can easily manage to load OS with SD Card and deploy images with serial (RS232) interface (it takes more than an hour!) but I can't manage to set up properly TFTP.

I think that there is a problem of configuration of tftp server but I can't find what it is!

Here the installer configuration:

    Firmware deployment mode (Attached board on communication port) --->
(eth0) Interface on your host machine connected to your target hardware
*** Installer to U-boot communication options ***
Communication method with the target board (Serial port)->
(/dev/ttyUSB0) Serial port for target communication
   *** Transfer options for installation ***

is it right?

What else should I have to set up for TFTP?, I have already done what is written on https://www.ridgerun.com/developer/wiki/index.php/Setting_Up_A_Tftp_Service and many other posts

I think I can't assign ip addresses for LeopardBoard and TFTP server on my host, any suggestions?

Hello I have just set up my board and starting running my own custom applications which work perfectly. Now I am starting to get into the media functionality of board like capturing video, images, and streaming. I attached the LI-OV2170 and booted up the board. When I try running the following command:

Suppose I have SD1 pins connected to a SD card connector, I want to boot my Leopard DM368 from this SD card, should I change UBoot source to force the device to boot from SD1?

LeopardBoard 365 MAC Address?

Is the LeopardBoard 365 assigned a unique MAC address when it is manufactured? If so, where can I find it? Is it stored somewhere on the board, in an EEPROM, or maybe u-boot environment? Or at least printed on a label or something?

why mt9p031 could not set heightXwidth and framerate ?why could not create display device?

when i boot ,mt9p031 show "registered".and according to mt9p031 datasheet,mt9p031 can support 720P.why i could not set heightXwidth to 1280X720?

Leopardboard DM368: MT9P031 sensor detection

I have issue with MT9P031 sensor detection on Leopardboard DM368 (RidgeRun Evaluation SDK 2011Q2 is used).

Corresponding error is 'mt9p031 1-0048: No MT9P031 chip detected, register read ffffff87'.

Have read forum threads regarding similar issues, but didn't find solution yet.

It seems that sensor unable to register on I2C bus:

At the same time, after corresponding reconfiguration, composite and component video adapters were successfully detected under 5d and 5c addresses, as expected.

Also I've tried this sensor with Beagleboard x_M and got simiar results (No MT9P031 chip detected, register read ffffff87).

Is there another way to verify MT9P031 sensor?

I am trying to run gstreamer examples for composite video input as well as for input from LI-5M03 board as mentioned in the following web-pages:

The problem is that it runs the 1st time perfectly. But then when I try to run the 2nd time, I get the following error:

This happens all the time. I restarted the leopardboard, also reinserted the sd card but it just does not work.

Can anyone please suggest as to what is going wrong?
