Use 365 DVI output board question.

Use 365 DVI output board question.

  • I have a PC monitor with DVI interface, but I don't see DVI connector on DVI board, all I see is a HDMI connector. Do I need to buy a HDMI to DVI converter to use my monitor?

  • Yes, you need to have a converter cable from HDMI to DVI, which you can get from Fry's or other electronics store.

  • HI just bought a 355 mother board (ver 1.6), with the DVI board (LI-DVI1 rev. 1.3), . I can see video coming out from the Composite. But I do not see any video coming out from the HDMI Connector

I noticed that when plug in the DVI module, it is interfere with the JTAG header

Do you know what the issue here? Do I need a Software upgrade?

    Thanks,

  • Originally this DVI board is for Leopardboard 365, not for Leopardboard 355 because the JTAG connector is on the way. It will work on Leopardboard 355 if the JTAG is taken out or cut shorter.

  • Reviewing the LI-DVI schematics i notice that BSEL pin is wired to high, that means TFP410 is using the 24bits-data, if I consider just the COUT and YOUT  signals seems to be in RGB565, if is that correct, how should i configured the GPIO27, 28, 29, 30, 32, 33, EXTCLK and FIELD.

may be the right question would be, should i ensure the data to be in a specific RGB standard RGB888 orRGB565 before getting into the TFP410 ?
