Has anyone seen the following issue:
The images we capture with LI-5M03CS are out of focus.
We are using a C-mount lens attached to the camera board through a 5mm CS to C mount adapter ring. The aperture and focus are preset on the lens using a USB camera that uses the same size/resolution imager. We used f/16 and f/22 to maximize depth of field.
The images taken with the USB camera are sharp while the images taken with the LI-5M03CS are out of focus.
Turning the focus ring toward inifinity, improves image sharpness but it never really gets completely sharp. This seems to imply that the back focal distance on the LI-5M03CS is larger than it should be. I'm not sure if this is a one-off manufacturing issue or a general issue with this camera board/lens holder.
Any feedback (positive or negative) from people who have used this camera board with a C or CS-mount lens would be really helpful.
