Some Nokia phones has 5 MP camera and the video recording quality is really amazing,

I know the leopardboard can do better, but there are certain problems need to be solved.

LeopardImaging has built great board but it cannot be used right now because of driver problems.

what are the issues?

the guy working at the company doing this leopardboard just stopped replying when i asked a HD capture instead of  a VGA capture 1 month ago lol :(

I'm not entirely sure this board can actually capture decent h264 720p even at 30fps with the camera modules here, without 3 month of software development work (aka not a few hours)

Yes, it can capture 720p@30fps video with 5M camera board, it has been tested by USB streaming.

We will post a sample video of 720p USB Streaming shortly.

Another good news, we ported IPNC SW onto Leopardboard, so now you will get 720p video through network demo soon.

We are doing final testing, it should be ready next week.

I too would appreciate a demo video at he highest resolution 1920x1080p day/night, indoors/outdoors, motion/steady

slight impatient reminder (its going to be 2 weeks in a few days), hopefully you get it done, i'm waiting on this post to get the camera board :)

DM365 HD USB Camera Sample Video DEMO is ready on "Videos" tab. This video is 720p@30fps H.264 video streaming, it can be played by Elecard HD video player.

for anyone using linux i play it using:

gst-launch-0.10 filesrc location=720p-HD-USB-Camera_5F00_daylight.avi \!decodebin \!xvimagesink

However it flickers to grey at some point

note that mplayer and vlc both fail to detect the stream

Will try in Windows in a few hours. Quality looks fine otherwise.
