Your suggestion for Getting Started Guide

    The following thing is mentioned in GSG for 365 for VGA camera (and others as well) :

    • Sensor part type: SOC with internal color saturation, white balance, noise reduction, dark current management.

    But this is not mentioned anywhere in GSG 355 (or at the links given therein), neither the datasheet for MT9V113 is available.

    So I was thinking that these features have to be added separately.

  • Hi Bhagat,

    I just added the "Sensor part type" information (just yesterday, you found it quickly).  The information came from a post by Leon.  I thought it was important information so I updated the dm365 gsg where the camera modules are listed.

    AEW is something different.  The e "Sensor part type" lists what the sensor SoC by itself can do.  AEW uses some of the DM355/DM365 hardware capabilities, plus software to provide Auto exposure, White balance.

    What I gather from Leon's post

    is you can get decent image quality if you use a SoC CMOS sensor even without AEW.
