Hi,

I use Gstreamer with this pipeline:
gst-launch -e v4l2src always-copy=false input-src=composite ! 'video/x-raw-yuv,format=(fourcc)NV12,width=640,height=480'! dmaienc_mjpeg ! tcpserversink port=5002

The aim is to stream mjpeg video over TCP

I'm write my program in C#.

The TCP stream is fine, but I can't stop the pipeline properly.

It's write:
gst-launch-0.10: Buffer.c:257: Buffer_getUserPtr: Assertion `hBuf' failed.

The problem comes from tcpserversink (when I use an other sink like udpsink they is no problem).

To stop my pipeline I use : gst_element_send_event (video_src, gst_event_new_eos());

I think they is a signal to send to tcpserversink or something like that ?

Hi Risc,

In fact there is no need to select DM368 as both chips are the same in all aspects, except the clock frequency.

To enable the DM368 to bootup at maximum speed, you need to edit some of the files in U-Boot folder and re-compile.

There is good topic about it in the forum.

About TI's SDK, I am not completely sure, (Others must answer) but as I know there are not a lot of differences between Leopardboard and the TI's EVM board, just some MUX and some components are removed from the Spectrum Digital Evaluation Board. If you disable them in TI SDK (Which requires a little work). It must work.

I also remember a port of TI's SDK for LeopardBoard, Google it and You will find it.

Hi Akhil,

As I have already mentioned here: designsomething.org/.../2729.aspx you must update the list of available fonts in your system before you can set the font property.

Also verify that you have enabled Cairo and Fontconfig

Then you can use the installed font name in the property of the text overlay like this:

textoverlay text="My Text" font-desc="Verdana bold 80px"

I've been trying to run the RidgeRun gstream examples with absolutely no luck. I have been following their harware setup page pretty closely but a number of the commands they list are not available when I try to run them on my board. For instance ipipe_init -d and loadmodules.sh both return a "not found" error although the web page seems ot indicate they should be there and are required to get things working properly. The web page says:

"In order to do that the application named IPIPE initializer must be installed on the target. On the configuration screen (make config) go to File System Configuration->Select target's file system software and select it."

However thre is no IPIPE Initializer application listed when I do that.

All,

I was wondering if anyone has implemented or even looked into implementing a metadata stream that would get muxed into the mpeg-ts container.

It seems to be described here on the ridgerun wiki:

But that seems to be just a reference page. From the looks of it that would entail not only modifying the mpegtsmux gst pipe to properly mux the data stream into the ts stream, but also writing a metadatasrc gst pipe from scratch to be muxed.

I just wanted to see if anyone has tried doing this or has any insight before I continue.

I personally dont need KLV data compliance per say, but from what I have seen that seems to be the restriction placed on the TS container type.

I only really need a couple fields of metadata added to my streams for reference (custom timestamping, reference ints, etc)

I'm really newbie about Leopard.

I have a DM365 LeopardBoard connected to a MediaFly (©Winntech) board in some display modules. Currently we are only displaying some videos with basic interaction.

Our Mkt dept wants to add more functionality to this modules and i need to know if is possible to add it.

The new functionality requested is try to get some information about the people that are using this modules using some forms.

I just download the RidgeRun SDK to get involved in how to program the board.

Somebody know if is possible to add this functionality without affect the MediaFly.

I am new to linux embeded systems and it is my first time with a leopard board Dm368.

I am having problems getting the DVI module to output an image. Not even at boot the ridgerun logo appears.

I already followed the step described in the ridgerun wiki and still no change.

You can use gstreamer SDK for host application. For client side pipeline change this:

You can even discard sprop-parameter-sets if payloader have option `config-interval`.

Hey Guys,

someone ever tried to use other formats then NV12 or UYVY to capture images? In particular Y8 or Y800 would be interesting for me, but i'm always getting a pipeline error if I try to use them. As far as I understand from GStreamer documentation, it should support at least the following formats:

I420, NV12, NV21, YV12, YUY2, Y42B, Y444, YUV9, YVU9, Y41B, Y800, Y8 , GREY, Y16 , UYVY, YVYU, IYU1, v308, AYUV, A420

My camera produces 8 Bit monochrome image, so Y8 would be perfect for me. Unfortunately, only NV12 and UYVY seem to work.

What should be the damping resister value & PCB trace impedance on YOUT(0-7),COUT(0-7), HSYNC, VSYNC, LCD_OE, FIELD, and VCLK.

I am using DM365 Leopardboard.

I have PCB layout & manufacturing related queries:

In the datasheet of TMS320DM365 only DDR2 impedance's are provided.

We need Impedance details of following pins also:

Cin & Yin (video in), HD,VD, PCLK,C_WE_FIELD,

Tx/Rx serial port,

DATA0/1/2/3 (SD card Lines),

NAND Flash pins,

Cout/Yout pins, VSYNC, HSYNC pins(Video out), etc.

The stack up they followed is different than TI's datasheet. So please suggest which is to be followed.

PCB stack up Leopard Board Vs. TI Datasheet:

Layer	Leopard board DM365	As per datasheet
Top Layer	Routing	Top Routing Mostly Horizontal
Inner layer 2	Gnd	Gnd
Inner layer 3	Routing	Power
Inner layer 4	VCC2	Internal Routing

Please suggest which PCB stack up we should we follow?

Also let us know what other precautions need to be taken while designing PCB using DM365.

I am trying to use the gstreamer pngenc plugin. I've included the "bad" collection of gstreamer plugins during SDK config, but gst-inspect still does not list the encoder. I'm using the 2011Q2 SDK, and I can't seem to see any of the "bad" plugins. I've included the proprietary DMAI drivers, which work successfully.
